Hook: Lyrical Mindstate is your gateway to the fluidity and poetical crux of hip-hop/rap music. It’s a show that not only functions as your introduction or emergence to a genre that has its roots in passion, heartache, fortitude, and grace but it also stresses the importance of a voice that is sorely needed to be heard. The hallmark of hip-hop/rap music is its ability to influence and raise awareness and/or consciousness of the world around you. My show allows you (the listener) to become one with the artist who is not only rapping about issues that pertain to himself but also those that affect us as a collective.

Martin Franco- A transient from Oakland, Franco has had an undying passion for hip-hop/rap music for quite some time while also being a devoted student at USD. He’s recorded several mixtapes thus far and hopes to continue his love for music further down the road by releasing a full-length CD.
